A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Happy Independence Day America!

I LOVE the 4th of July!
I love the family and neighborhood gatherings.  I love the mouthwatering smells that float across the yard on a summer's breeze from the grill.  I love the sounds of children and adults playing together and having fun.   I love gazing up at the sky wondering what lights will flash across it next.  Each time a firework is shot into the air I say things like;

"Oooooh!  So pretty!  Look at that heart!  That's my favorite!"

"Twinkling lights?!   Sighhhhh!  LOVE THEM TOO."  By chance do you think this shot resembles Squidward from Spongebob in any way?  I do.

Set them to some patriotic music and it's all over for me.
I'M A SOBBING WET MESS!

More than the gatherings, the fireworks or the parades, I LOVE MY COUNTRY and all it stands for.
FREEDOM!  HOPE!  LIBERTY!  OPPORTUNITY!  HAPPINESS!

Happy Independence Day!

haha! me too! this year we were boring. it rained this morning so we skipped the parade to keep pookie 'healthy' and swam in between rain drops. then tonite we drove around our neighborhood 'eavesdropping' on everyone else's fireworks displays. then bed. we're so exciting it's painful. ;)

Your photography is wonderful... And I've got a goooood eye.

Frizzy, I've missed stopping by... Just a note for now to let you know I'll be away much of July. Lately I've been so busy getting my ducks in a row as the saying goes, amidst birthdays and holidays and mini-vacations and 'chores.' I'll return when things settle down, third or fourth week of July. God bless you now and always, I pray, <3 , KathY

KathY,
I can't log onto your blog anymore. It says my invite has expired. I've also been looking for your email but have lost it somehow. I have thought of you time and time again but can't figure out how to reach you. Thank you so much for your comments and prayers. Have a wonderful July!
