A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Corners of My Mom's Garden

Just wanted to share some of the pretty flowers blooming in my mom's garden. I can't believe how different they are. Each flower as unique and beautiful as the next.  I would never think of pairing some of these colors or shapes together thankfully God did.  If God put that much thought energy into a flower it's impossible to imagine how much time and energy he puts into creating and caring for each and everyone of us.  I'm finding joy and hope in the little things today.

I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

So very pretty! I love the pink/yellow/orange one. I don't think I've ever seen a flower like that before.

Beautiful pictures!! I love flowers...all of them! It was so funny to see your comment on my blog today....I was just thinking of you yesterday. I was going to come by the next time I had some time to check out blogs. :) Hope all is well. I read down some and saw that you got to go to Yosemite. Sweet!! :) Also...YaYa is growing up and "yea" to her for getting in the pool. My youngest was hesitant for a while, but now she's 12 and a fish!
