A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

A Prayer Request & I ♥ Faces Challenge, Innocent Wonder

Last night, I received a call from a sweet friend of mine asking for prayers of healing for her daughter. Only moments before she had received a call from their doctor telling her their 2 1/2 year old had been diagnosed with Leukemia. They were having tests run this morning and meeting with the oncologist tonight to hopefully learn more about what they are facing and the best plan of attack. Can you please join me in praying for this family? They ask for wisdom, understanding, peace and healing as they move forward and begin making plans for her cancer treatment.  You can learn more about Brooklyn's journey HERE.  Thank You All So MUCH!

I haven't participated in an Faces Challenge in awhile and have missed it. I wanted to enter this photo of Yaya playing with her babydoll named Bow during a birthday party last weekend but I just missed the cutoff.  I love how she's gazing upon her baby's crown and face.  Pure and Innocent Wonder.

Praying, Praying, Praying! I am so sad to hear another little one is diagnosed with the big bad C word. I wish there was something more that I could do besides pray!

I also love this picture of Yaya! So sweet! :)
