These photos go back a few years to our first annual "Gotcha Day."
"Gotcha Day" (in our home) is the day Yaya came to live with us. Some of you may recall we also celebrate "Family Day" which is the day the courts say she became part of our family and took our last name.
Anyway, to kick off Yaya's second year with us, we took her out to dinner and a night of games. This photo isn't the best but it serves its purpose. After all, what "Gotcha Day" would be complete without a family picture?
She couldn't sit down for a second of the rides she was so excited.
To this day she still asks if she can ride the rides outside the grocery stores or Wal Mart.
She had fun pushing all the buttons and watching all the lights flash on the games. I might even dare to say she enjoyed them more than the ice cream we shared.
She partied til she was ready to fall over from exhaustion and true to form, she denied being tired until the very end.
Bird and I tucked her in that night counting our blessings and thanking God for such a happy and healthy little girl.
