A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

We're almost home...

Hello everyone! We're back in the US but not quite home yet. We'll be in Seattle for a few days to spend time with Bird's family. I have sooooo much to share and soooo much to catch up on from your blogs/lives as well. We had a blast and so did Yaya. The highlight of my trip was walking down the airport's hallway. Yaya saw us and sprinted into my arms while screaming "Mommy! Daddy! You're HOME!!!" I cried like a baby seeing and hold her again. We all survived our time apart and are so happy to be together again. Currently, we're making up for lots and lots of missed hugs, kisses and snuggles. I knew I was home...when I held her in my arms again. We'll be back to our home late Saturday night so I'll be organizing some thoughts and putting them together with a few of the 1000+ pictures we took while in Europe once we're home. Are you all ready for that? LOL Thanks for all of your prayers. We felt them the entire time and had no issues til the end of our trip. Even those are minor compared to what they could have been or become. Praise GOD!

I kept picturing where you were in my head, what you might be eating, etc. YUM! I even made some gelato last weekend, ha! Arw, you both missed your little girl SO much, you have taken that step, being away for what seems to be a long while from her. I am too chicken to do what you did! (ba-cock! I sez) However I knew she would have a blast where she was as did you! So glad everything went smoothly, that you are all reunited and can't wait to hear more of your trip!
