A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

WOW! Thanks SITSTAS!

My day began yesterday with my husband coming in and saying, "You're never going to believe how many emails you have this morning. There's over 100 emails in your inbox! What did you do?" I told him I was going to be a featured blogger for SITS but I don't think he understood what that meant til he saw it for himself. Heck, I don't think I understood what it meant either. I never imagined receiving over 310 comments in one day but that's what happened thanks to my SITSTAS. Between the 3 posts SITS chose and the ones I included in my post yesterday I'm drowning in comment love. Thank you so much everyone! I am trying to respond to at least one of everyone's comments so please bare with me. I can't wait to get to everyone's post and leave some return love for you. Do you want to know how my night ended? Bird took me to see TWILIGHT! Or should I say, I took Bird to see Twilight kicking and screaming the whole way. Hehehe! In the end he liked it. He admitted there were a few parts that were a bit much but it was good. I agree. It was a little more "artsy" than I expected though. The book and my imagination are way better! I left a few comments on blogs saying how fun it would be if the director had made 3 different versions of the book. IE. 3 different interpretations. We all have such different ideas of what the author wrote. Some of it like Bella's house was dead on for me. The Cullen house was more modern than I expected. I pictured more antiques and oil paintings with old scenes portraying life. Anyway, today was a perfect day! Thank you my dear blog friends both old and new. Bird, thank you for going with me to see this movie. It means so much that you went with me!

310 comments! WOW - that's great! I often don't see the movie if I've read the book, as I get my own ideas of what it should be & am always disappointed.

310 comments!?! How fun! I'm glad to hear your husband though Twilight was ok. Dave isn't very excited about going, thus why we still haven't seen it yet. 2 more days thought and I'll finally get to check it out!
