PHEW!!!
1. The carpets have been professionally cleaned (thanks to all 3 of my dogs coming down with the stomach flu last Thursday and Friday. ) YUCK YUCK YUCK! By the way, that's not me laughing like one of the 3 Stooges (sorry if I spelled their name wrong). Did you notice the pretty lines in the carpet. Ooh La Lah! I'm a happy girl.

3. The dog's beds have all been washed and dried.
4. The kitchen AND bathroom floors are swept and mopped.
5. The dishes are done and put away.

6. The piles of paperwork on my table and clean laundry are put away.
7. My daughter was busy but did not destroy quite everything I've done today and is now sleeping peacefully.
8. Bird picked up the dogs so my newly vacuumed and washed car wouldn't get dog hair clippings all over it. 9. I bought a round trip ticket (Yes, ONE GOLDEN TICKET) to Vegas for next month for 5 days of Social Work CEUs and fun.
10. I didn't have to cook AND got to go shopping for curtains with my friend Louise. Correction, I almost got to go shopping for curtains with my friend Louise. Ha! Close but not quite. 1-9 actually happened and 1/2 of 10. 5 minutes before I was scheduled to walk out the door, Bird brought the dogs home. They went directly to their water bowls and drank like they hadn't had water in weeks. Next, they proceeded to drool on my shiny clean tile. Are you ready for this? The grand finale? Drum roll please....I proceeded to slip in their drool and I think I broke my big left toe while attempting to stop myself from falling.

Do you see why I am a glass is half empty kind of gal? I can never speak too soon as usually something falls apart at the last minute. Today it was my big left toe. Back to reality called "My life." You would think at the age of 35 I'd be used to this by now. Guess not!
Would you like to share 10 highlights from your day with me?

Hi - thanks for you comment on my blog. Yes, I confess, I have been reading for a while. I love your family's story.
Yikes! Sorry to hear about your toe! And about the dogs. ICK! My dog once got violently ill all over the back seat of my car. In August. On the way home from obedience class graduation.
;)
Oh well. Gotta love them anyway. And now your carpets are so clean! Doesn't it just make you happy when your house gets REALLY clean?
Ok will you come do that to my house? Also, can I go to Vegas with you???
goodness lady! I'm with Trish. Come to my house. I'll pay you. :D
Also, we'd both like to come to Vegas with you. However, I'd start to save bail money now. We are trouble makers ;) hehehe
I love seeing vaccum lines as well, miss that now that we have hardwood floors!
Glad your dogs are feeling better!
Wow, sounds like you had a busy day! Hope your toe is ok!
I never used to find good deals, but lately I've been having some luck. It's kind of fun to make things "prettier" around here knowing that I'm not spending much money!!
LQQk at all your comment love! You're doing well for yourself ;0)
OUCH! I'm sorry about your toe! That stinks! I have a pinky toe that has been giving me peat and repeat brokenness over the last few years. Whenever I put the last time out of my mind -KaBLAM.
J wanted to take me to Vegas for our 10th Anniversary. I wonder if it would have around the same time? I talked him out of it --- I wouldn't have hesitated if you were still there...
Dog drool! Ack! That is why I have cats, cats who get emotional anxiety issues (and maybe just actual physical problems once the test results come in) and pee on your recliner repeatedly. So I can clean up pee instead of slipping on dog drool. See the sarcasm? I am not sure which is better. It is like that question, what would you rather do, slide down a razor into a pool of iodine or drink a barrel of monkey snot? Hmm.
I hope your toe is OK! I once ripped out the ligaments on several toes in a highly pressured nerve- racking sword form at a demo. Not the same as a cracked toe, but I do sympathize!
And your carpets look fab!
