Today I happened upon Mimitchells blog and what fun she seemed to be having. I enjoyed her quirks so much I decided to share some of my own. I hope you catch the fever and share. Here goes. 1. I love to vacuum! Seeing the lines on the carpet brings me a peace in my soul I can't describe. Crazy aye? 2. I hate to dust! 3. My potholders, towels and toilet paper rolls have to be hung a certain way. 4. I have my Cd's organized by genera and alphabetized. My husband is one who often puts the wrong CD in the wrong case and it drives me bonkers! I can't stand grabbing a CD and taking it to the car only to find out Michael Buble is actually Phantom of the Opera. GRRRRR! 5. My husband gave me the nic name Frizzy due to my high stress factor over "sweating the little stuff" in life. Give me big stressful problems and I tackle them like a champion. Lots of little things make me nutty AKA "frizzy."
6. I am the worst procrastinator when it comes to doing something out of my comfort zone.
7. I am terrified of being alone and hate doing things by myself. Especially new things!
8. I hate shopping for clothes, shoes and purses but love shopping for anything else. I own one purse at a time and use it til it falls apart. Yes, I am a woman my priorities are just a little off is all.
9. I'm addicted to all pottery but my favorite pottery is Polish Pottery. I made 3, 13 hour trips each way to Poland from Italy while living in Italy just to buy this stuff. It's like my crack I tell ya! I can't get enough. These pictures aren't even a fourth of my pottery collection. I have it everywhere in our home.
This picture was taken in one of the pottery factories during our shopping hayday.
I'm on the right.
10. I seem to be someone who is never completely happy where I'm until I'm told it's time to move. What's up with that? I guess it doesn't help that I moved often (I attended 3 different schools in my first grade year alone) as a child d/t my dad's job. Since marrying my husband, I have continued this constant moving pattern. We've moved 8 times in the 9 years we've been married thanks to his career in the USAF.
11. I have this crazy thing about not being able to let go of the past. Especially where my dearest friendships and heart are involved.
12. I love to cook and entertain in my home. Love it! Love it! Love it! I just wish I was a little more creative with my centerpieces and such for these occasions. I love a beautifully set table.
13. I hate sea food of any kind. I can't stand the smell of canned peas or beats. I beg my husband not to cook them while I'm home and he has to air out the house before I return or the smell makes me sick. This hatred for the items above may be due to my highly sensitive nose. I think I was a dog in a previous life. I can smell things from a mile away that nobody else can. It's a curse really.
Now it's your turn. Be sure to leave a comment if you decide to join the fun so I can read your 13 Fun and Quirky Facts.

Oooo. I like a newly vacuumed room, too!
I don't eat seafood either... blech! :P
Hey thanks for stopping by my blog :)
I get a kick out of reading peoples lists of things, I need to do one!!!
Looking forward to reading more from you!
Your fellow SITS sista!
...Ok...how freaky is that...#1-3 and #6 left me laughin' out loud! My dear hubby thinks I am nuts for my vacuum style (the patterns make me SOOO happy) yet can't believe I won't dust. I have officially made the dusting a part of my 10 yr old's chores...I just can't do it...I can't. And procrastinate...heck! I am queen with ya toots! If there was a procratinators annonymous, I would join, but I'd procrastinate and never go! You rock and I am givin' you a big ole shout it today! You rock!! Oh, and Misery, I mean Missouri, isn't it grand!! haha
#1,2,3,6...that's me!! I just love to vacuum pretty even patterns!! Drives my hubby crazy...I think that is the main reason we no longer have carpet in the house and only wood floors. I get my "fix" when I get to vacuum the area rugs...I just do it more subtly now!! haha I love your site...and all of your "quirks", so I gave ya a shout out on my blog! Chat w/ ya soon....DEFINATELY!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm pretty new at it and getting comments is like getting a present! I also like the lines left by vacumming! And I'm so with you on the dusting thing.
Only 13??? You know we BOTH have a lot more than that:) And I'm right there with you on quite a few of them, minus the vacuuming thing. I like how a nicely vacuumed room looks, it just doesn't last longer than a couple seconds until someone walks over it. All that work and 5 minutes later you can't even tell you did it! Funny all the quirks we have and finding out others have some of the same ones too...should we let our husbands in on that so they don't think it's just us? I have so many quirks (just ask my husband!!!) where do I start? I HATE ironing and will avoid it at all costs. I think I've only used my iron a couple times in the past 5 years. I have to have a plan and if the plan foils, I'm a mess. I always forget loads of laundry in the washer...ALWAYS! I like loading, but don't like unloading the dishwasher. Things have to have their "place" and if they aren't put back in that place, it drives me nuts (compliments of my husband:). Okay, I'll spare you and end this before I take up 2 pages!
I can relate to 4, only it will be Gackt (Japanese Rock singer) and I get Symphony X. (heavy metal)
5. I have no nickname. Demon does not really buy into nick names. Weird, I know.
#7-Ah yes, I know this about you. This is why we hang out well together, on this level, we balance each other out.
9-I remember your Pot---tery fetish, LOL!
11-I am the same. Except it is of a darker note.
Dah! I would have to sit and think about my quirky 13. Should come back to that.
I'm as quirky as you dear girl!
I think we have OCD!!! In a good way!!
Thanks for letting me know about your baby girl! Which, I do think her name is lovely and gorgeous!!
OHHH You had me up until the seafood! LOL I love seafood, so I can't relate;)
My sister is that way with the vacuum, and I honestly think my X FIL is the same way, only he would never admit it, lol
I don't like to fly solo either! I ran into a friend yestereday and she said her daughter saw me at Burger King yesterday, while they were in the drive thru I was inside eating *gasp* alone...NOT, I reminded her that I would never do that, I need my peeps with me;) LOL
I could be called Frizzy too...wow!
funny quirks...aren't they always. i can't stand any doors open in the house. i have went so far to put child locks on some to make sure the kids keep them closed. i may have a problem...no!
3., (We solved #4 as DH was the one who wanted the CD's "just so" buy buying a CD player that holds 200 CD's! Funny thing he didn't put my CD's in it! Just his, well it was his birthday present. 5. I'm older now and over the OCD as I became depressed and had to take Rx for that, at the same time I was told I was OCD and I thought, "I am not, I do things the way they ought to be done" but it affected my family and that wasn't good. Now I don't freak if my clothes aren't hung up by the color spectrum. 7. Seems a natural and logical human reaction! 8. I hate to shop when my weight is up but look out when it's down, I can spend the clothing budget with the best, mine and DH's!
Now #9, the pottery! This is absolutely some of the most gorgeous pottery I have ever seen! I would want a lot of it too! I actually collect antique dishes and have 5 sets of Christmas dishes alone. I had to stop buying dishes when I got head over heals into scrapbooking!
Moving! #10. I hate it! My parents built a house in 1961 and we lived in it until we flew the nest. Only when my father was dieing with colon cancer did my parents sell their home and move into the house next door to us so that we could look after Mother when he was gone. My first marriage I think we moved 11 times in 10 years. My second marriage we bought our first home a year later and after a year promptly got transfered to another city. We rented our home and moved back in for four years while my DD finished HS and DH commuted so she wouldn't have to change schools.
Then, I mean the minute she graduated HS we had to sell and move to a rural town in FL after living in Orlando most of my life! I now like my home and we hope we can live here the rest of our lives.
DH is from Guernsey, WY, can I say yuck having to live in Leramie? How often did you go to Ft. Collins for some civilization?
#11. Let go of the things that are negative and hold on to the people you love and love you back.
#13. This is actually the first holiday season I am looking forward to in 7 years. I even went online and ordered myself a centerpiece for the table!
I love to entertain also but when you're depressed you don't want to see or do anything! Glad this year is looking better!
I'll work on my 13 and link back to you if I do it!
Great post!
