A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Momma's Girl

I love these pictures because they show how much YaYa loves to learn. She hasn't started pre-school yet so this is one way we play/learn at home. She can't wait to get on the computer to play peek a boo, sing, dance and count eggs with Elmo and mommy or daddy. Excuse me but I have to crow a little as I'm so proud of this little girl. If you've read our story, you'll know that she was at one point considered hard of hearing and maybe even deaf. She just turned 2 on July 7th and she can already count to 14. She also loves to sing the ABC's. In all honesty, she doesn't quite pronounce all the letters correctly but she's getting the sounds down anyway. Thanks for letting me share these pictures and for putting up with my crowing. If you want to check out other fun stories and pictures from proud mommies, daddies, grandma's etc. Click on over to Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta . She's always got something fun going on over there.
