A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

A New Year and a New Motto

In 2012, I plan to live life to the fullest and face whatever God has in store for me head on. I pray this year holds blessings and joy for our family and yours.
Bird and Yaya kicked the year off with a bang by making one of my lifelong dreams come true. Their Christmas gift to me was a chance to swim with the dolphins. I still can't believe I did it. It felt like I was floating in a dream.
I received another memorable gift from my parents.  The stainless steel necklace below says,
"Morning Prayer"
"Now I wake me up to live. I'll give life all I have to give. If today I face a test, I'll cope and pray and do my best. With each breath and step I take, be with me Lord for Heaven's sake."
Needless to say, I cried like a baby when I read it.  Like my day with the dolphins, this too was a perfect gift.  I plan to say this prayer each morning and do just what it says.  In 2012 I plan to live life to its fullest and I'll be thanking God each step along the way.
