It's that time of year when many of us enjoy celebrations with our friends and loved ones in the comfort of our home. This year I ask you to remember the men and women who serve to protect our country far from the comforts of home and their loved ones.
Bird and I have several friends stationed in harm's way this year and we keep them in our daily thoughts and prayers. When we asked what we could send them we learned about a service called Green Beans Coffee. If you click on the highlighted link you'll find you can send a cup of coffee and an inspirational note to one or more of our troops. The cost is minimal you can spend as little as $2.00 to make someone's day by sponsoring a member of our military.
Our friend Beth reminded us there are servicemen and women who won't receive a single letter from home while serving our country and she asked that we sponsor someone we don't know in addition to those we do.

Thanks for thinking of those serving...they often do feel they are forgotten. Our Nation IS AT WAR and many Americans are sooooo far removed from that thought that we do not realize the sacrifices those in harms way are making.
