A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

We The People

Friday afternoon my dear friend Arian shared her heart on her blog. She's a gentle and talented musician, mother, Christian, military spouse, friend and patriot.  Honestly, I can't say enough wonderful things about her.  When you listen to her music, read her Post and watch her first video I'm betting you'll feel the same way I do about her.

We met as officer's wives while stationed in Aviano, Italy with our husbands who were both serving in the Air Force.  To this day, we share an overwhelming sense of pride when it comes our country and our freedom.  On the eve of election day I pray for the decisions we are about to make for our nation at the polls.  "We the People" still have a voice and it's so very important to make sure we're heard.  Please please please Vote!

Yeah Susie! What a wonderful idea and way to get your name out there. I wish you all the best. You know your goodies get my vote!

I want to go vote where Susie's going to be! Too bad, it's all absentee ballots where I live-- no treats for me!

What a beautiful post! Thank you so much not only for sharing my video, but for all the things you wrote about our friendship and common values. Our connection has been such a blessing to me and I love you! This just makes me miss you even more. I really hope we can get together now that we're here in the same time zone! : )
