A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Field Trip

Two weeks ago Yaya's preschool class went on a field trip to the library.
They listened to stories and played a game of popcorn to get the wiggles out. 
I think the kids enjoyed learning about the night drop box most. Anything you can drop things into and pull out from the other side is WAY COOL don't ya know?

She was so excited and proud of receiving her first library card.


She couldn't wait to check out some books.  She didn't even look at them before choosing she just pulled each one off the shelf and said I want to read THIS momma. As a result we wound up with a wide variety to read from I.e. American Girl; Meet Rebecca, Fabulous Beasts and Boo to You.
All in all a fun day and great learning experience.

I remember all of the fun days I had going to the Library. What a treat!!

What a great excursion! We love going to the library, but I only let the kids get one book each as I have to keep track of them!! We do go each week though! It's one of our favourite places!
