A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Dear Friend,

If I were able to talk to you today I would tell you I hope you and your family are doing well.  I would tell you I have kept you and your growing family in my daily prayers.  September is almost over which means you should be a father again and I am overjoyed for you.  I hope your beautiful wife had a wonderful pregnancy, her delivery has gone smooth and that her labor and delivery were short.  I imagine the joy on your faces as the doctor handed your new son or daughter to you.   I know you have been surrounded by family and friends as you celebrate his/her arrival.  I wish my family could be with you to celebrate too.  I  have to admit I chuckle a little as I imagine an excited big sister protecting and watching over "her" new baby while at the same time smothering him or her in kisses.  This sweet baby has just been blessed with one of the best families in the world to grow up in.  Not a day will go by he or she isn't loved to the moon and back.  Congratulations.

Wishing you all endless love and happiness.
Love your forever friend, Nic

Penny
