A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Boy Meets Girl

Earlier this summer Yaya invited one of her best buddies over to Pappy and Nana's house to swim and play. These two totally crack me up when they get together. Especially looking back at these photos. They play together while never leaving their own little worlds.

Example #1 He's a crime fighter.

Example #2 She's a mermaid princess.

Does he look like he's a bit afraid of her driving or what? Let me tell you, he has good reason. She's a crazy driver who prefers to pay more attention to the radio and volume than the street. Thank goodness they didn't put mirrors in this car!

Cruisin with one cool dude.

Sweet little faces.

The only thing that could make this picture more perfect in Yaya's eyes would be a sign that says,

How adorable, especially that last picture! Of course, Demon my husband sez "Momo will marry the boy of MY choosing! A nice, smart, well- educated, successful Catholic boy." Yea. Good luck, with that, D!

And here I just thought Momo would just be with me, living in a commune like "Hello Kitty's Stump Village." Aren't we going to be village neighbors, have parties, plant wheat to bake bread together and fly in hot air balloons?
