A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

SCOOBY DOO WHERE ARE YOU?

As you may have read, Yaya turned 4 on Wednesday though we didn't celebrate her birthday until yesterday. Bird wanted to be in charge of her cake and he ROCKED IT! It was a vanilla and chocolate marbled cake with vanilla pudding between the layers.
Close-ups from the front.
The bakery included a free bonus cake for the birthday girl.
I got to be in charge of the decorations and party favors.
ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?
Nana made this box into a puppet theater and
the kids loved decorating and playing in it.
Everyone received a Scooby mask and a bag of party favors.
Blowing out the candle and making her birthday wish.
Enjoying a little extra frosting.
Bird found Scooby Snacks made out of graham crackers. Of course Yaya pretended she was a dog and did tricks for the treats. She enjoyed making daddy Scooby work for treats too.
Braydon loved the Scooby Dance CD I bought. This boy can DANCE!
"Who Let the Dogs Out?!"
Thank you Scooby for the fun party theme and
A VERY Special Thanks to all Yaya's friends and family who made her birthday so special.

What fun! You once told me after seeing a pic of Momo with a Kuromi plushie that Yaya would have no idea who Kuromi is. Well, teehee, the same can be said of Scooby Doo, Momo has no idea who he is! LOL! Wow, What a party! No doubt a blast! I am glad she and everyone had such a good time! And what a fab cake!!
