a lot has happened. First, we opted to not have our profiles shown in the situation mentioned in the last post. It was too risky and we have to think of Yaya first. She would be devastated if we brought a sibling home only to have him/her taken back because one of the birthparents changed their minds. (WHICH THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO.) So, we continue to wait and hope for our little one to join our family very soon.
Second, our tenants moved out of our home in Vegas and we drove down to do a walk through with them. They were fabulous! I can't believe how good the house looked! We did a few touch-ups and repairs but all MINOR. It looked almost as good as the day we moved out 2 1/2 years ago. Such a relief! In addition, we signed a contract with new tenants and received their deposit. They'll be moving in before we know it. Another sigh of relief and answer to prayer.
While in Vegas Bird, Yaya and I visited with our old neighbors and friends. We took Yaya to our old stomping grounds and to a few tourist sights. She loved being in the home she lived in as a baby. She loved playing in the cul-de-sac with the neighbor kids and cried crocodile tears when it was time to come back home. The house was completely empty other than the air mattresses we slept on and the card table and chairs we took to use. I guess this just proves you don't need a lot of STUFF to be happy.
Here's Yaya hanging out with Ashleigh and Isaac. Isaac actually had on a t-shirt that said, "Prince Charming." Yaya has been waiting forever for a boy who wants to pretend he's her Prince Charming. Who knew he was waiting for her in Vegas?
Seeing Yaya with other little ones was so much fun. She just loves being the big kid and "helping."

Time with Grandpa Joe. We sure missed Grandma Linda. Vegas isn't the same w/o her.

I am glad it worked out too, what a relief! As far as the adoption process, I am praying for patience alongside you. All in good time. You already know how that funny wheel of karma turns when it is time. Love the pictures, Yaya is adorable, and you are looking great, girl!
Wow you had a great time in Vegas. That dress of Yaya's is stunning. The princess remarked over my shoulder now that she also wants a Belle dress. Great all worked out.
Looks like a great time!
