A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

CALLING ALL MOM's!

My husband and I took Yaya out to lunch today and lets just say, SHE WORE US COMPLETELY OUT! She pushed EVERY BUTTON and BEYOND! Today was one of the first times Bird openly admitted needing a break as much as I did.
HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A 2 YEAR OLD TO WEAR TWO ADULTS OUT BEYOND THE POINT OF EXHAUSTION?! I MUST KNOW!
Anyway, we came home and I opened an email from my good friend Jessica. She shared this link A Little Bit Funky with me. I hope it brings you the same dose of SANITY it brought me. God's Blessings to you and yours on Palm Sunday!

Oh, I love links! I'll have to check it out!

Hee hee hee.... We left our house at 7 am this morning.... ugh! We stopped for breakfast and made to Reno by 10 am. We just got home. It turns out that Wylee wanted to go to Reno so we could look at a trailer that was for sale there. It wasn't a wasted trip-- we bought the trailer! Now Wylee's so excited to go camping. Allie was such a good girl all day-- it helps that she got to watch movies in the car!

I frequent Crystal's blog a lot. Comment on there very little though (bad blogger, bad, bad blogger). She is so level headed in her outlook on life, boys and everything. As an added bonus she posts the yummiest recipes:)

hint hint search her blog for "toffee crack" it's great!
