A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

Thank You Gramma Linda

Last night a package came from one of my good friends AKA Gramma Linda to Yaya. We will be traveling over the holiday and so we decided to allow Yaya to open these gifts early. It was so much fun watching Yaya open these gifts because she now understands what things are more and that it is special to receive a gift.
"Daddy, I need help please."

"Oh WOOOOW! It's a baby doll!!!"

"You're such a pretty baby. Let me play with your hair and take you for a walk."
"We're all done with our tea party now baby. Time to brush our teeth, say our prayers and go to bed."
Yaya also received a singing Princess book and coloring book.

Look closely at how creative Yaya and the new baby were with the color crayons.

This is the first time Yaya has colored on something other than paper. I think she has a new best friend and partner in crime. Thank You Gramma Linda! Thank heaven for Magic Erasers aye baby!?
If you enjoyed these pics, head on over to Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta. She always has tons of visitors and fun pics to share.
