A little about me and my family...

My photo
My love of people, photography and the world began as a child. My family moved a lot and taking pictures was my way of remembering friends, capturing special places or moments and holding them close. Becoming a wife and a mother has always been a dream of mine and I count my blessings daily. I started this blog shortly after our daughter, Yaya joined our family through the blessing of adoption. Its purpose was to share pictures and stories about our life with family and friends. Later, it shared our adoption journey to our second daughter, Baby Bird as well. Now that our family is complete I like to think of it as our family’s journal or life book. I'm passionate about life, my family and preserving our history one snapshot at a time. The thing that amazes me most is the abundance of beauty God blesses us with every day and in the simplest ways if only we take the time to slow down and appreciate them.

PARTY AT MY PLACE!!!

This is my 100Th Post and in honor of this special occasion I'm having a Pay It Forward Party. As promised, Yaya chose 3 names from those who commented on Monday's post. My package came all the way from Renata in Australia. Now it's my turn to pass some gifts on down the line. I am soooo excited about this and have been searching for a few of my favorite things to share with you. Drum Roll Please......
Congratulations goes to
Anissa @ Queen Bee and

Accepting this means sending a gift of your choosing on to 3 more people. IE. PAYING IT FORWARD.
Now, do you want to know what you've won and why they are a few of my favorite things?
1. I collect snowmen & therefore am sending a snowman ornament to each of you.
2. I am a list maker. I love lists! Actually, I love checking things off my list and seeing what I've accomplished during my day.
3. The first few times we met Yaya she smelled like the lotion I'm sending. You can imagine why it has such special meaning to me and is now my favorite scent.
4. Last, I'm sending some of my favorite tea for you to enjoy. I love relaxing with a cup of tea alone or with friends. Maybe we'll be able to share a cup of tea together someday.
I would like to thank all of you for playing along. More important though, I would like to thank everyone for coming back time and time again to read about my life. I never imagined by starting an on line journal for myself and my daughter I would meet such wonderful people. Your kind, loving and often encouraging thoughts are appreciated. I also love hearing about your lives and realizing I'm not alone in my daily struggles, fears or thoughts. It's comforting to know there are others who often feel the same way I do. Thank you for making my first 100 posts so special. Now, I'm off to relax with a cup of tea!

Give Yaya hugs and kisses for picking me.

Congrats on the 100th post! Woo hoo!

I feel the same way about blogging... never did I think I would get to meet so many amazing gals. Some I've been lucky to meet in person... some just online, but I really hope one day we can all meet face-to-face. How awesome would that be??!?!?!??
